2023 Annual Meeting Results
Below are the results of the 77th Annual Meeting of the Homes Association of Cedar Hills. A quorum of 529 is required to conduct an annual meeting, a total of 799 votes by ballot were received.
Resolution 1 - To amend the Declaration of Restrictions to clarify the current prohibition against renting properties as short-term rentals (i.e., renting for periods shorter than 30 days).
Passed with 689 votes “For” and 98 votes “Against”
590 votes would be the necessary 75% of the total votes cast of 787 in order to pass the resolution.
Resolution 2 - To amend the Declaration of Restrictions to clarify that, when the Association is required to hire an attorney to enforce the Declaration of Restrictions and Rules and Regulations, the attorney’s fees and costs will be collectable from the violating owner.
Failed with 542 votes “For” and 232 votes “Against”
581 votes would be the necessary 75% of the total votes cast of 774 in order to pass the resolution.
Resolution 3 - To amend the Declaration of Restrictions to clarify that the Board may grant exceptions to the five-foot utility easement on the sides of homes to allow owners to install HVAC equipment (air conditioners, heat pumps, and similar) to make Article VI consistent with Washington County’s rules.
Passed with 752 votes “For” and 43 votes “Against”
596 votes would be the necessary 75% of the total votes cast of 795 in order to pass the resolution.
Directors: 400 votes would be the necessary 50% + 1 of the total cast votes of 799 to be elected as Director. Five seats to be filled.
